RocketLit is an edtech company, with our fast-growing product InnerOrbit.com being the leading provider of high-quality, NGSS-aligned assessments, engaging science phenomena, and actionable reports that empower educators with the data they need to transform science instruction. As we continue to rapidly grow and expand our impact in school districts nationwide, we're seeking an experienced Chief of Staff to function as an Integrator (in the EOS framework) to ensure operational excellence and team alignment to best support our educators, district leaders, and ultimately, students. This is a full-time position working with a 15-person (and growing!), fully-remote team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the operational leader (an Integrator in the EOS framework), ensuring clear alignment and collaboration across all departments to move our product toward our 5-year goal through our quarterly rocks, and annual goals.
  • Facilitate weekly meetings with department leaders, helping them prioritize effectively, streamline workflows, and overcome operational challenges.
  • Oversee the continuous improvement of internal processes and communication to keep up with the evolving needs of our growing company and the educational systems we support.
  • Ensure operational goals and initiatives directly align with InnerOrbit’s mission to enhance science education through meaningful assessment and data-driven instruction.
  • Up to 10% travel to conferences/meetings.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an operational leadership role, preferably within education, edtech or technology.
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to inspire, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Emotional intelligence and exceptional interpersonal skills, including mediating tense situations, facilitating candid discussions, promoting harmonious conflict resolution, and proactively overcoming organizational challenges.
  • Proven success working in a fast-growing, remote, technology company.
  • Empathy for K-12 science education and the importance that all learners can succeed.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, education, management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Google products and project/task management.
  • Available for synchronous meetings between 9am-5pm CT.
